Type 2 Diabetes for 10 years

Ten years ago I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. It wasn’t a great shock, because several members on my father’s side of the family had suffered from it, but having to change my lifestyle and take medication and check my blood sugar level regularly were annoyances I would have preferred not to have to deal with. Cholesterol and blood pressure issues soon required additional medications. Although I tried to follow the dietary recommendations I had been given and I took my diabetes medications as prescribed, a few years later my diabetic medication was doubled. But I still couldn’t keep my blood sugar readings in the normal range. I would awaken in the morning feeling “fogged in” and ready only to go back to bed. My energy was so low I needed long afternoon naps which never seemed to refresh me. My wife and I began taking Vitalizer and Vivix because we heard that many people who took them felt better in many ways. My wife noticed many positive changes but I didn’t feel any difference. So I began to read about the side effects of my medications and learned that fatigue was associated with at least one of them. I also learned that one of my medications might be keeping my blood sugar level artificially high. Since I go for checkups every three months and would soon be going again I decided to take only half doses of those meds which might be causing fatigue and higher blood sugar readings. I also began to follow a mainly vegetarian diet. I started to lose a few pounds and my blood sugar readings immediately began to level off at a lower level. Soon I too began to notice the kind of effects I had expected from Vitalizer and Vivix. My head cleared, my energy level increased and I needed only a short afternoon nap to feel refreshed. I recorded my weight, blood sugar level, blood pressure and pulse every day and brought the readings with me when I went for my next checkup. Since my lab results were within acceptable limits and my recorded readings were so good, my doctor agreed to let me continue with the medication adjustment I had made. I no longer take two of medications I was on. I am working on finding natural means to eliminate the other prescribed medications. My readings are still good and I expect that my lab results will also be when I go for my next checkup very soon. Adding regular exercise to my daily routine should also help a great deal in my quest to reverse my diabetes. I am happy to say that most people are quite surprised when they find out my wife and I are in our midseventies. Bill MType 2 Diabetes for 10 years Ten years ago I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic.
